Haryana sets up barricades at entry-exit points

The Haryana government today started barricading all entry and exit points with the neighbouring states to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of forthcoming Assembly polls.

The Haryana government today started barricading all entry and exit points with the neighbouring states to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of forthcoming Assembly polls.

The barricading was being done at all entry and exit points with the states which shares border with Haryana, including Punjab, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, to prevent movement of anti-social elements during the election, state DGP Ranjiv Dalal said here today.

He said, "With the polls slated in Haryana on October 13, they have also alerted the police of neighbouring states to keep an eye on the movement of anti-social and other elements who may try to disrupt the smooth conduct of the polls.
