Ravi Patel, a 20-year-old youth committed suicide after he was mentally tortured by a moneylender of Ramol area. Patel, a resident of 12, Amarjyot Society, in Ramol, was found hanging by the ceiling fan of his bedroom at 4 in the morning. Police found a suicide note in his bedroom, in which Ravi has mentioned about a money lender called Bunty Rajput.

According to his sister, Krishna, a law student, Ravi who had just joined Nirma Company as a fitter was quite tense during the past week.

According to the Ramol police, Patel left a suicide note near a canister in his room in which he alleged that a moneylender Bunty Rajput has been demanding money from him.

Investigations revealed that Patel had borrowed Rs30,000 from Rajput a year ago. Patel needed that money to repay cash he had borrowed from a friend after he met with a bike accident. Later, when Rajput asked for his money, and couldn't get it, he started harassing Patel and allegedly forced him to return the money with interest. According to police, Rajput has already collected Rs60,000 from Patel and allegedly took his signature on papers.

The paper says that Patel still owes Rs 2 lakh to Rajput. Thus, in entirety, Rajput demanded Rs4 lakh against a loan amount of Rs30,000! Investigation revealed that Rajput then started threatening Patel.
