Guard held on charge of raping five-year-old girl

A security guard working with a private security agency here was arrested on charge of allegedly raping a five-year-old girl, police said today. The accused A Praveen (21), who resides near the victim's residence in Khanameth Izath Nagar under Madhapur police station limits, called up the girl who was playing near her house last evening, police said.
    
"It seems the accused initially spoke with the girl and took her to his room where she was allegedly raped. After the incident the girl went to her house and cried. The victim's mother found blood stains on her clothes and after hearing from her daughter, she lodged a complaint against the security guard," a police officer said.
    
Praveen was arrested today and the girl was admitted to a hospital and a medical examination was being conducted on the victim, police said. Investigations were on.
