Govt more serious than Ramdev and Hazare on black money: Subodh Kant Sahay

The Union tourism minister said he had accompanied two other ministers to the Delhi airport only to apprise Ramdev about the government’s approach in this regard.

Union tourism minister Subodh Kant Sahay today said that the Manmohan Singh government was more serious on the issue of black money than Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare.

"We are more serious than Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare, who are spearheading movements against corruption and black-money, and making all possible efforts in this regard," Sahay said while addressing a press conference in Jamshedpur.

Sahay said he had accompanied the two other ministers to the Delhi airport only to apprise Baba Ramdev about the government’s approach in this regard.

"In fact, the government had accepted almost all demands put forward by Baba Ramdev, who was also happy with the government’s stance," the Union minister claimed.

Sahay claimed that UPA government have initiated stringent action against officials and ministers, indulged in corrupt practices.

Asked about Digvijay Singh's statement about Rahul Gandhi's potential to become prime minister, he refused to comment on it but said, "We all want to see him in the top post".
