Governor's rule should be imposed in J&K : Bhim Singh

Panthers Party chief Bhim Singh today advocated imposition of Governor's Rule in Jammu and Kashmir for bringing peace in the state and asked the Congress to withdraw support from National Conference.

Adressing newsmen here, Singh said that Governor's Rule should be imposed in J&K to bring peace in the valley and the Centre should initiate action against chief minister Omar Abudullah for his controversial speech raising questions on the valley's merger with India.

Singh said that Abdullah had stated in the state assembly that " We(Kashmiris) are not puppets of the Centre and Kashmir had not merged with India in 1947 but 'acceded' to it. Kashmir is an issue between two neighbours ---its not an isssue about development".

Stating that none had given him (Abdullah) the right to raise questions on Kashmir's accession to India, Singh said that Governor's Rule should be imposed in the valley for at least six months. 

Singh announced that his party would contest 50 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar with a view to implement the agenda of Jai Prakash Narayan who had given a call for Total Revoultion in 1974.
