Goods train derails in Madhya Pradesh

Four wagons of a goods train laden with coal derailed near here this morning, officials said.

The derailment, which took place about one km from Guna station, disrupted traffic on the single line Guna-Bina section. The train was proceeding to Kota from Bina.

"Four wagons, including that of the guard, derailed at 9.15 am near Guna station," Guna Station superintendent SP Gupta told PTI. However, there was no casualty, he said.

Following the incident, Bina-Guna passenger was cancelled today, while some other trains, including Sabarmati Express, may be delayed inordinately, he said.
