Goa police are planning to visit Sweden to record the statement of Swedish model Lucky Farmhouse, who had exposed drug-peddler-police nexus in the state.

Crime branch sources confirmed that they have moved the file to under secretary (Home) to get the financial approval for this visit, which is very crucial to investigate the case.

"The file is with the home department. Once the approval is granted, we will send an officer to Sweden to meet Lucky at
her residential address," a senior officer said.

Lucky, who had exposed the links of her boyfriend Atala alias Yaniv Benaim with police, had told police that she is ready to visit the state only in August.

Deputy superintendent of police (crime branch) Chandrakant Salgaonkar had said they cannot wait till August to get the statement.

"Almost 40% population of the world belongs to India and China and this will create a paradigm shift. Both India and China will create a huge demand as consumption of these countries will reach new heights. Thus, India is going to be a major manufacturing hub as consumption will increase," he said.

"This is the time developing countries like us realised the unrealised potential within us," he said.

The world was now very much inter-connected and an economic disruption in any country will have its effect on India.

"I believe people from the corporate sector and industry sector have the competency to tackle these issues. The European sovereign debt crisis again shows that Asia has the potential to become more powerful," Ambani said.
