For the city's youngsters who want to make it special for their partner, they have already lined up surprises for the special someone in advance. And when it comes to gifting a lady what better can one gift than a diamond?
Diamonds are a woman's best friend, they say, and Amdavadi youngsters are no laggards in gifting their loved ones a diamond this Valentine's Day, say diamond jewellers of the city.
Though it is said that Ahmedabad are cost conscious, they don't mind shelling out big bucks for making their dear ones happy this time around.
"The gifting trend among the youth is increasing day by day and what can be better than a diamond, a gift for lifetime," said Jaikumar Begani, MD at Forever Precious Jewellery & Diamonds.
Talking about city youth, Manoj Soni of AB Jewels said, "The youngsters today want lightweight jewellery which also suits their pocket. Thus we are launching a special diamond collection for V-Day that will go on display from February 11."
Youngsters are wise when it comes to buying but at the same time they are fashion conscious too. Jewellers of the city state that it is emotions which play a major role while gifting a diamond. It is more of an impulsive buying rather than a planned one.
"As our customers on this particular day are mostly youngsters, who look for light weight, less karat to gift to their Valentine, we have launched a special nine karat collection starting at Rs999. We have also reduced the prices keeping in mind the youth for whom this day means more than just gifting valuables to one another," said Hansa Parekh from Tanishq. Like others Orra too has also launched a special pendant collection for Valentine's Day.
Talking about the V-Day collection, Begani said, "Emotions always take the top rank when it is for your special someone and that is why we have named our Valentine's Day collection as 'Soul Collection'. We also have heart shaped diamonds and solitaire jewellery which is in great demand."
