Ghetia behind Paldi, Aslali incidents

The city police on Wednesday identified the man who was involved in Paldi shootout, in which a girl received gunshot injuries.

Police said only a few hours after Paldi incident, the same person, Subramanium Pilvaikar alias Ghetia, committed another crime at Indiranagar in Aslali, where he shot dead a man Harish Kosti.

The city police said Ghetia is the main accused in both Indiranagar murder and Paldi firing and stabbing case.

Ghetia, one of the most wanted criminal in the police record, fired two rounds at Harish Kosti, a resident of Indiranagar and killed him on-the-spot. “Kosti was talking with his friend when Ghetia came along with his two accomplices and started the firing,” police source said.

After gunning Kosti down, Ghetia also stabbed him 15 times and left the spot. The police sources said that Ghetia killed Kosti to avenge killing of his friend Satish, who was allegedly killed by Kosti in 1997. The police have launched a manhunt to nab Ghetia and his men, who remained out of cops’ reach on Wednesday.

Before killing Kosti, Ghetia was also engaged in a brawl with a pan shop owner in Paldi. “The pan shop owner misbehaved with one of his friends and to avenge that he attacked the Paldi shop owner with a sword,” the source said.

According to sources, the police have got some clue in the case and expect a breakthrough soon.
