Gelatine sticks found dumped in river bank in Kerala

While 44 gelatine sticks were found packed in a gunny bag close to a pillar of an under-construction bridge at 'Karad Kadavu', the rest were found scattered around the bridge.

In a major seizure of explosives, 77 gelatine sticks were recovered from the banks of the Kadalundi river near Thirurangadi in the district today, police said.
  
While 44 gelatine sticks were found packed in a gunny bag close to a pillar of an under-construction bridge at 'Karad Kadavu', the rest were found scattered around the bridge, police said.
  
The seizure was made after people informed police about the explosives which might have been dumped in the locality either for catching fish or for other purposes, police said.
  
A case has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act.
