Freak accident kills engineer

A 23 year old engineer was found dead alongside an unconscious 17 year old teenage girl in a car in Outer Delhi.

Dinesh Gupta and Neeru got suffocated in the car with the AC on after the car ran out of petrol. The duo did not realize that carbon dioxide was gushing through the AC and got suffocated. The incident happened in Punjabi colony of Narela at 12:30 am Saturday.

“The duo could not open the doors on time and the carbon dioxide filled inside the car. After a while Gupta managed to open the doors. In a semi-conscious state he came out, but fell down resulting in his death,” said a police official.

Neeru survived the accident as she got down on time and her oxygen supply was replenished, “said a police official. He added, “She is recuperating in the hospital.”
Both the victims are residents of Punjabi colony Narela. Gupta was working as a junior engineer in Sonepat besed TD India company. “The body of Gupta has been sent for post mortem, “said a police official.
