Four policemen injured in encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand

Four policemen were injured in an encounter with Maoists at Barangburu forests in Jharkhand's Khunti district today.

"The encounter broke out during search operation and the injuries to policemen were minor," a senior police officer said.

The encounter broke out during search operation in Barangburu, about 80 km from the state capital.

Blood stains were found on the Maoists' side after they retreated following retaliatory attack, indicating that the rebels too sufferred casualties, he said.
