Four poachers arrested, leopard skin recovered in Lucknow

Four poachers were arrested and a leopard skin was seized from their possession in Lakhimpur Kheri district of the state, police said in Lucknow today.

On a tip off, four persons were arrested yesterday by Sampurnagar police and the leopard skin was recovered from them.

The accused had killed the animal in the nearby forest ranges about three months ago.

The poachers have been booked under the Wildlife Protection Act and interrogations were on to ascertain details about their gang, they added.
