Four persons killed, seven others injured in accident in Orissa

The mishap occurred when a group of students from Nuagaom area of neighbouring Jharkhand were returing after attending a talent hunt.

Four people were killed and seven others injured, five of them critically, when the jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a dumper near Gangajal, about 70 km from here today, police said.
    
The victims included three students and the driver of the jeep.
    
The mishap occurred when a group of students from Nuagaom area of neighbouring Jharkhand were returing after attending a talent hunt.
       
The injured were first admitted to Kutra community health centre and subsequently shifted to Rajgangpur government hospital.
    
Arrangements are being made to shift the seriously injured to Rourkela, SDPO Rajgangpur, Sushil Panigrahy said. The driver of the dumper fled the scene after the mishap, they said.
