Four NDFB insurgents arrested by police in Assam

On a tip off, police arrested three NDFB ultras at Tinkhuti, under the Bihali police station yesterday. They were identified as Anup Basumatary, D Ukhrao and Robin Ronghang, sources said.

Four National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) insurgents, including a woman cadre, were apprehended from two separate places in north Assam's Sonitpur district, police sources today said.

On a tip off, police arrested three NDFB ultras at Tinkhuti, under the Bihali police station yesterday. They were identified as Anup Basumatary, D Ukhrao and Robin Ronghang, sources said.

Shamshree Basumatary, 19, a woman cadre of the NDFB was nabbed at Kamalajuli Mugasang, under Bihali police station, by the personnel of the Assam Rifles 40th battalion yesterday.

Basumatary was handed over to the police, who produced before the district chief judicial magistrate. The magistrate remanded her six days in police custody.
