Four killed in road mishap in Madhya Pradesh

The victims were on their way to Delhi from Chhatarpur district when the mishap took place around 4am on AB Road when the driver lost control over the vehicle.

Four labourers including a woman were killed today and 40 others injured when the bus carrying them overturned near Baba Devipuri Ghati here, police said.
 
The victims were on their way to Delhi from Chhatarpur district when the mishap took place around 4am on AB Road when the driver lost control over the vehicle, police said.
 
The injured including nine women and three children had been admitted to the district hospital. One person who sustained serious injuries has been rushed to adjoining Gwalior district for treatment, they said.
 
The bus was packed with more than 60 labourers who were going to Delhi to work at a construction site, police said.
 
The deceased have been identified as Mohan Kachi, Parmal Kachi and Parana Bai, police said.
 
Some persons who escaped unhurt in the accident alleged that the driver was drunk.
 
Police said a hunt has been launched to arrest the driver who fled from the spot adding that a case has been registered and investigations were underway.
