Four killed in road accident in Chennai

Four persons, including three women, were killed today when a van ploughed into a group of people at suburban Perungulathur near Chennai, police said.

The incident occurred early today when the van driver lost control and ran into the victims, killing two women on the spot, police said.

While two others died in hospital, three persons suffered injuries, they said. The driver of the van, Arul Maran, 26, has been arrested, police said.
