Four killed as mini lorry rams into tea stall in Tamil Nadu

Four persons, including a woman drinking tea a roadside shop were killed today and another seriously injured after a fish laden mini-lorry rammed into the stall at Thirupoondi in the district, police said.
  
The mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a man who suddenly crossed the road, they said.

The mini lorry coming from Karaikal was proceeding to Thiruthuraipoondi in Tiruvarur district.

The injured person has been hospitalised.

The mini-lorry driver fled after the accident, police said.
