Four arrested for 'sacrilegious act' in Jammu & Kashmir

Four persons, including a woman were arrested for their alleged involvement in sacrilegious act at a village in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Police conducted raids and arrested Gulam Hussain, Rashma
Begum, John Mommad, and Sikander yesterday after receiving a report of cow slaughtering at Chasana area in the district, they said.

Tension prevailed in the area and people held demonstration to protest the act, they said, adding a case has been registered against the accused.
