Five sentenced to life imprisonment in Punjab for murder

A court today sentenced five persons to life imprisonment for murdering a man three years ago due to personal enmity.

District and sessions judge Raj Sekhar Attri pronounced life imprisonment to accused Ranjit Singh, Malkiat Singh, Naresh Kumar, Pargat Singh and Sonu Singh for murdering Krishan Kumar in August 2008.

Kumar was called by the five accused to settle an old case and was attacked by them with a sharp edged weapon resulting in his death.
