Five persons killed in road mishaps in Jammu and Kashmir

Five persons were killed and 37 others injured, eight of them seriously, in two separate road mishaps in Ramban and Poonch.

Five persons, including four members of a marriage party, were killed and 37 others injured, eight of them seriously, in two separate road mishaps in Ramban and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir today, police said.
 
A car, carrying 12 members of the marriage party was on its way to Batote area of Ramban district, skidded off the road and rolled down into river Chenab on Batote-Doda road today, 130 km from here, they said, adding four of them died on the spot.
 
Eight persons were injured, two of them seriously, they said, adding that injured have been admitted to a hospital.
 
In another road mishap, one person today died and 29 others were injured, six of them seriously, when a bus rolled down a hill into a gorge at Khanetar nallah in Poonch district, 225 km from here, they said.
 
The deceased has been identified as Mohmmad Sharief.
