Five killed in road accident in Madhya Pradesh

The incident occurred when the victims were returning to Umaria in Madhya Pradesh from Baroda (Gujarat) along with the body of a relative identified as Bhimshankar.

Five members of a family, including a woman, were killed and five others injured when the vehicle carrying them collided with a stationary truck on the Bhopal-Indore highway near Sonkatch town this morning, police said.
     
The incident occurred when the victims were returning to Umaria in Madhya Pradesh from Baroda (Gujarat) along with the body of a relative identified as Bhimshankar, who died in a road accident, they said.
     
While two persons died on the spot, three succumbed to their injuries en route to a hospital, police said adding the injured persons were undergoing treatment at Indore.
     
The body was kept in a separate vehicle which was following the ill-fated vehicle, they said.
     
The deceased were identified as Nirmala 22 (wife of Bhimshankar), Krishnakant 20, Rajkumar 22, Amul 26 and Bhushan 26, police said adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
