Five injured in cylinder blast in Delhi

The incident took place in Narela at around 8 PM last evening when Rita, 31, was cooking food in the kitchen. The gas pipe caught fire and the cylinder exploded.

Five persons, including two children, were injured in an LPG cylinder blast in outer Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place in Narela at around 8pm last evening when Rita, 31, was cooking food in the kitchen. The gas pipe caught fire and the cylinder exploded.

Apart from Rita, her husband Harish Chand (33) and their two children Sumit (10) and Sujit (7), who were in the adjacent room, were injured. Another unidentified man was also injured.
