Five cops suspended in Bihar as criminal escapes

Five policemen were today suspended on the charge of dereliction of duty as a dreaded criminal Mojelal Sahni escaped from judicial custody while being treated at the Sadar hospital in this district headquarter town of Bihar's East Champaran district, police said.
    
Superintendent of police Umesh Kumar said Mojelal Sahni was brought to the Sadar hospital here for treatment of ulcer in his abdomen and in the meantime, he managed to escape giving a slip to the policemen.
    
''We have suspended five policemen deputed there at the time of treatment'', he said.
     
Mojelal Sahni was involved in several cases related to loot, murder and kidnaping.
     
Raids were on in the area to recapture the escapee.
