Fishermen killings: Italian foreign minister arrives in Kerala

Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi di sant'Agata on Tuesday night met the two marines, arrested by the Kerala Police in connection with the killing of two Indian fishermen on board the oil tanker Enrica Lexie.

The minister met Latore Massimiliano and Salvatore Girone at the CISF guest house at Wellington island where the two are lodged as part of the police remand.

Agata, who arrived here with a 30-odd member delegation including businessmen and entrepreneurs, spent about 15 minutes with the marines, police said.

Earlier in the day, he held discussions with External Affairs Minister SM Krishna in New Delhi.

He is leaving for Hanoi on Wednesday.
