Fire in Madhya Pradesh High Court building

Around 10,000 files were reduced to ashes today in a fire at the record room of the Madhya Pradesh High Court here, officals said.
       
Nearly 10 lakh files were kept in the record room of which around 10,000 were burnt in the blaze at the first floor of the court building, high court registrar general TK Koushal told PTI.
       
Files pertaining to disposed of cases were kept in the record room, he said.
       
Initial findings suggest that a short-circuit caused the fire, Koushal said, adding a detailed investigation was underway.
       
Five water tankers took an hour to put out the blaze, fire brigade officials said.
