Fed up with his illness, a 58-year-old policeman today allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance, police said.
MM Khan, a sub inspector attached to the Bhanwar Kuan police station took the extreme step after he left his house in the early hours, they said.
He was ailing quite a long time and his body was found near a dargah here, police said.
In a suicide note found on his person the cop said that he was taking his life after being fed up with his worsening health due to diabetes and a heart problem, they said.
Further investigations into the matter are on.
