Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand will stage a demonstration in front of the Parliament on November eight to protest against the alleged discriminatory policies of the Centre and state government against the peasantry, a farmer leader said today.

"It is unfortunate that the sixth pay commission report submitted to the UPA government was implemented immediately whereas the Swaminathan report submitted three years back was not taken into consideration... it is discrimination against the peasantry," BKU (Lakhowal) chairman Ajmer Singh said.

"Our protest will go outside the Parliament when USA president Barack Obama will be delivering his address inside," he stressed.

He asked prime minister Manmohan Singh to take into confidence the farmers before signing any agreement with Obama.

"USA is giving subsidies to farmers whereas here in India the government is considering to withdraw these," Singh claimed and added that the Swaminathan report must be implemented with immediate effect so that the farmers could get remunerative prices of their produce.
