The principal of the Vadodara-based Convent of Jesus and Mary school, which suspended six of its students for a week for allegedly using 'abusive' language on the social networking site Facebook, today declined to comment on the issue.

When contacted by PTI, newly-appointed principal of the school, Sr Mary, said a report over the issue had been submitted to the district education authorities.

It was alleged that the suspended girls were found using abusive language on school's Facebook page while commenting on selection of the school's head girl.

Another posting on the school's Facebook web page has several students exulting at the transfer of the principal Sr Delphine.
After learning about the incident, the district education officer has ordered an enquiry into the incident.
