External threats to nation's unity, integrity: VHP

Accusing certain foreign forces of destroying the unity and integrity of the nation, Vishwa Hindu Parishad today said that it will launch a nationwide campaign in this regard.

Speaking to reporters here, international vice president of VHP, Dr Mahesh Bhai Patel said that he will be touring 20 universities across the country and would be highlighting the conspiracies hatched by external forces to the students and teachers.

He also alleged that on one hand, the foreign forces reiterated their support to India, but on the other hand, they were jealous of rapid strides made by India in different fields and are trying to destroy the cultural fabric of India.

In order to make the people aware about the evil designs of these forces, VHP is running a Hindu University in the US and over 3,000 members in 20 US varsities are actively engaged in disseminating information, Patel said.

Apart from the US, over one lakh volunteers of the Parishad are touring various parts of the world and are creating awareness about 'Hindutva' and 'Bhartiyata'.

On a question on attack on Indian students in Australia, the VHP leader said, "The attack on Indians in Australia is not due to apartheid, it is rather a fallout of group clash."
