A mob of 35 to 40 people created ruckus at a farm house owned by ex-mayor VC Patel at Ampad village on Sunday. The mob, which allegedly included a builder and bootleggers, fired in air and indulged in heavy stone pelting at the farm house while Dr Patel's daughter, Dr Sujata Modi, along with her friends had gone there for a picnic.

The rural police of Vadodara have started the procedure to lodge a complaint.
According to ex-mayor and Padmashri Dr VC Patel, he owns a farm house called Sanjiv Farm and Nursery at Ampad village near Sevasi. One Jhelabhai Bharvad works as manager of the farm house. On Sunday, his daughter, Dr Sujata Modi, along with her friends had gone there for a picnic. Fencing work of the land was also being done.

At about 3.30 pm, a mob of about 40 persons reached the farm and started stone pelting and firing in the air. According to Dr Patel, the mob was led by Sanju Bharambhe, who is a PASA accused, along with alleged bootlegger Gatu Kahar, his son Charmis Kahar and Kanu Gaekwad. They were accompanied by two villagers, Arjun and Ganpat. The mob fired about eight rounds in air to create terror. Manager Bharvad was severely injured in the incident and was shifted to the SSG hospital.

Dr Patel told DNA, "The terror game is being played by them for over a month. They are trying to usurp 25 acres of land which I own near the farm house."
