Election duty: Case registered against 44 officers in Uttar Pradesh

Santosh Kumar, the district magistrate has directed the authorities to register FIR against the officials under the Representation of the People Act and an inquiry has been initiated in this regard.

The district authorities have ordered to register cases against 44 officers, including 15 presiding officers for not attending election duty during the first phase of panchayat polls in the district, officials said today.

Santosh Kumar, the district magistrate has directed the authorities to register FIR against the officials under the Representation of the People Act and an inquiry has been initiated in this regard, they said.
