ShareAhmedabad: The body of a senior citizen, who according to police sources was a gay, was found at his residence on Saturday. Primary police investigations revealed that the victim was a witch doctor and allegedly had illicit relation with many men from the area.
Talking to DNA, a police source said that the man could have been murdered for his relationship with other men. The victim was identified as Hiralal Valecha(55), a the resident of Amraivadi.
According to police, Hiralal divorced his wife in 1993 and was living alone since then. The victim has a son Prakash (30) who lives in Kalupur and owns an audio CD shop there.
The incident came to light when neighbours called him repeatedly but there was no response. Growing suspicious, the neighbours contacted Prakash. When Prakash came, he along with the neighbours broke the door of the house. He found his father dead and his throat slit. The victim was lying in a pool of blood on the bed.
Prakash then registered an FIR with the Amraiwadi police. He said that his father was staying alone and never mixed with anyone. Prakash said his father used to lend money on loan and charged interest for the same. It was Prakash who told the police that his father was allegedly in a relation with other men.
