Dusty winds over Ahmedabad

The fall in temperatures at various places across the state continued on Friday.

After facing intense heat wave conditions, the city experienced a scattered storm and dust raising winds on Friday.

The daily weather report by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Gujarat, noted that the weather was dry over the state and the temperatures were 'above to appreciably above normal' in parts of north Gujarat and Saurashtra, while they were normal over rest of the state on Friday.

The highest maximum temperature of 44.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhavnagar.

Due to change in the wind direction, the temperatures across the state have come down compared to the record-breaking high of 48.5 which was recorded last week at Idar. The heat wave conditions have completely normalised but the temperatures are still forecasted to be a few degreesabove normal for the coming few days, IMD records say.

Ahmedabad remained the second hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature 43.2 on Friday. Deesa was the third hottest place at 42.6.
