Former secretary of GSHSEB, HN Chavda, has moved an anticipatory bail application in the city sessions court. Chavda, an accused in the dummy writer's scam, is facing arrest by the crime branch. In his bail application, Chavda has said he is innocent but the media has projected him as a culprit.

"As reported in the media, like Harsh Kotak and Komal Patel, Rajesh Adani's daughter Rahi Adani also claimed a writer on the same ground. Her examination centre was NR High School. All the three are children of influential people. In case of Rahi Adani, the whole story was suppressed," Chavda alleged in the application.

He further said he is not concerned with either of the cases. The former secretary of GSHSEB has blamed the media for publishing reports against him. "The allegations say I was present  on March 12, 2008 at the examination centre and assisted two students in carrying out copying or writing papers by dummy writers for which I facilitated the presence of Bhagawat Ravat, a teacher. All the allegations made against me have been printed in the print media and a public propaganda has been created against me," he says in the application.

Chavda continued: "The first culprits are either the students or their parents. The police do not raise any finger either at them or at the media. Other persons who could have allegedly played roles in the scam are the staff of the school concerned and the supervisors. None of them have been made accused."
