Dreaded criminal escapes from custody in Noida

A dreaded criminal involved in over a dozen cases of loot and murder today escaped from custody within a few hours of his arrest here.

Jeetu, who was arrested earlier today in a murder and loot case of Dadri, escaped from Kasna police station in Greater Noida after hoodwinking the personnel on duty just a few hours after he was held.
    
A manhunt has been launched to trace the criminal who is wanted in over a dozen cases of loot and murder, SSP AK Singh said.

The circumstances that led to his escape are being looked into, he said, adding, action against the guilty policemen will also be taken.
