Dr Ambedkar's statue damaged; tension in Uttar Pradesh village

Some persons damaged a statue of Ambedkar while playing Holi leading to tension in Madaiya Khayaliram area in the city, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when some enthusiastic youths while playing Holi damaged a hand of the Ambedkar's statue leadig to tension in the area, they said.

A large number of police force has been deployed in the area, where situation is under control.

The district administration is getting the statue repaired.
