Guess who came to the rescue of two accused in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case when their arrest by the CBI was imminent? If sources are to be believed, it was a seasoned gangster who allegedly lent a helping hand to them in their hour of need.
The gangster, who was released from jail last year, had allegedly built a network of powerful government officers and their bosses in the state while commencing his illegal business including land grabbing.

Sources said the gangster allegedly provided the logistics to help accused number 17, Ajay Patel and accused number 18, Yashpal Chudasama, to go underground, when CBI was on their trail. A source close to the development told DNA that the gangster was allegedly harassed by a team of police officials after his release from Sabarmati Jail.

The source said that the gangster had been in jail for a long time and he allegedly paid the cops big money to leave him alone following his release.

This also ensured that they turned the other way when he began his land grabbing business, sources claimed. Sources said that when the special investigation team of the CBI began a hunt for Patel and Yashpal, following the arrest of Abhay Chudasama, the gangster's alleged help came handy.

Sources said that when Patel and Yashpal allegedly escaped abroad it was the gangster who provided the logistics for the same and took care of their comfort.

Sources close to the development said that right now CBI's top priority is to get hold of Shah and later they will begin the hunt for Patel and Yashpal.
