"Whenever Delhi sets an example, the rest of the country follows," she said elaborating on the 'Climate Change Agenda 2009-12' under which the city government is planning to initiate several steps towards energy efficiency.

Praising the Delhi Government for its 'green Delhi initiative' noted environmentalist and TERI chief RK Pachauri said "TERI would sincerely render its constructive contribution in making this partnership a grand success." "It is only because of our concerted efforts the city has earned recognition as the greenest capitalin the world".

As per the pact, TERI-CCI (Clinton Climate Initiative) will provide support to the building owners in identifying, designing and implementing large scale energy efficiency building retrofit projects and bringing the owner together with the necessary contracting and financial firms for implementation.
