A petrol pump employee was killed and his three colleagues were injured in north-west Delhi today when six unidentified motorcyclists attacked them when they were asked to pay for the fuel, police said.

The incident took place in Saraswati Vihar at around 1.30am and the deceased has been identified as Rakesh, 32, who hails from UP's Bulandshahar, a senior police official said.

An argument broke out when the motorcyclists refused to pay for the fuel and a scuffle ensued during which they fished out knives and attacked the four employees, the official said quoting eye-witnesses.

Rakesh died on the spot while others - Dharmendra, Chirag and Akshay - were rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

The argument started with Rakesh objecting to their demand for filling up petrol immediately and told them to wait for their turn.

After filling up the fuel, they refused to pay up and this led to a fight.

Rakesh, who is survived by his wife and three children, lived in a rented accommodation in Nangal Rai.
