A delegation from the Centre will arrive in the city for a two-day visit February 13-14, where the state Congress will present the issues of vendors and taxi-stand drivers, among others, before the delegation. Meanwhile, officials of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) have showed ignorance about this visit.

A high-level delegation of the Ministry of Housing and Poverty Alleviation will visit Ahmedabad on February 13 and 14, said a statement issued by Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC). AMC has undertaken Bhadra Restoration Project underJawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), and, as part of this project, declared the area as vehicle free zone.

The AMC has also dislocated the vendors' and taxi stand illegally and this issue was represented to minister of housing and poverty alleviation, Shailja, by GPCC general secretary Khurshid Saiyad.

The delegation is coming for a review of JNNURM schemes, said Manish Doshi, spokesperson of GPCC. A high-level delegation from the GPCC will meet the representatives of central government and make representation on this issue, said the statement.

However, commissioner Guruprasad Mohapatra says, "I have not got any communication in this regard.”
