Death skids past owner of Electrotherm, barely

The founder of Yo Bykes and chairman and chief technology officer of Electrotherm India Limited, Mukesh Bhandari had a narrow escape from the jaws of death after the Innova car in which he was travelling collided head-on with a truck.

But, two of his colleagues —  director of the company, Naveen Nakra and vice president of projects, Kishore Mukadim — and driver Tarachand Negi were not so lucky. All three of them died on the spot.

The incident occurred at 9 am on Saturday on the Halvad-Maria road on the Surendranagar-Viramgam highway. The trio along with the driver was on their way from Ahmedabad to the company’s steel plant in Kutch.  Sources said though Bhandari escaped he was badly injured and was rushed to the SAL Hospital in Ahmedabad. By evening his condition was reported to be stable and he was out of danger. The Halvad police is further investigating the case.
