Dalai Lama, LK Advani to attend international conference on Tibet

Besides the Dalai Lama and Advani, prime minister of the Tibetan government in exile Samdhong Rinpoche will deliver the key note address.

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani will participate in an international conference in Dharamsala tomorrow to discuss the current scenario in Tibet and outline strategies to strengthen the network of Tibet support groups across the globe.

"The three-day sixth International Conference of Tibet Support Group will discuss the current situation in Tibet and outline ways for the Tibet support groups across the world to strengthen their work in the light of new developments in China and Tibet," National Convener of the Core Group for Tibetan Cause (India) NK Trika said.

Besides the Dalai Lama and Advani, prime minister of the Tibetan government in exile Samdhong Rinpoche will deliver the key note address, he said.

Around 250 members of Tibet support groups from 57 countries will participate in the event, he said.
