CPI(M) students wing stages protest rally in Thiruvananthapuram

The CPI(M) students wing SFI today took out a march here protesting US policies to coincide with the visit of US President Barack Obama to the country.

Marchers raised various issues including reluctace on the part of America to ensure justice for the victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy.

The protestors also accused the UPA government of persuing policies amounting to surrender of all sectors including eduction and defence to the US interests.

The march started from University College in the City ended before the state secretariat. The meeting that followed the march was inaugurated by SFI state president P Biju.
