Session court judge Hungund dismissed the bail plea after it was brought to the court's notice that Nithyananda had been taken into custody.

A local court in Ramanagara today dismissed the anticipatory bail application filed by self-styled godman Nityananda Swami who has been arrested by Karnataka police in Himachal Pradesh in the wake of an alleged sex scandal.
Session court judge Hungund dismissed the bail plea after it was brought to the court's notice that Nithyananda had been taken into custody.
The judge had yesterday posted the case for orders today.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka high court today posted the hearing of Nithyananda's petition praying for quashing of criminal cases against him to April 23.
The controversial self-styled godman, absconding for over a month in the wake of an alleged sex scandal, was today arrested along with four of his associates from a house in Solan district in a joint operation by Karnataka police and Himachal Pradesh.
