Congress welcomes steps to break stalemate over FDI: AICC

AICC general secretary Janardhana Dwivedi Saturday said that Congress welcomes all meaningful steps to break the stalemate over FDI.

"In such a situation, a broad consensus is required among different stakeholders," he said.

In a sudden turn of events, the Centre has decided to put on hold the controversial decision on FDI in retail sector, in an apparent bid to break the Parliament logjam.
