Congress accuses BJP of flouting rules for national meet

"The BJP is flouting the rules of National Highway Act 2002 for holding its national conference at Omex City spread over an area of 90 acres," MPCC chief Suresh Pachouri said.

Accusing the BJP of flouting rules to hold its national conference meeting beginning on February 17 here, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today said it was consulting legal experts to move the court in this regard.
    
"The BJP is flouting the rules of National Highway Act 2002 for holding its national conference at Omex City spread over an area of 90 acres," MPCC chief Suresh Pachouri told media persons here.
    
He said though the Act forbids certain construction work close to the National Highway, such works were being carried out at the Omex City.
    
Already, the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has passed an order against constructions close to the National Highway, he said.
    
"We are consulting legal experts to move the court against the venue of BJP National Council meeting", he said.
