Impressed by the functioning of Delhi government's mediation centres, top executives of several companies today evinced interest in going for similar mechanism for out-of-court settlement of disputes.
Delhi government set up mediation centres across the city last year to help parties resolve their disputes amicably and quickly and to ease pressure on city courts which are reeling under the burden of over 11 lakh cases.
Complimenting the functioning of the mediation centres, representatives of various leading companies, at a seminar, said they are also open to the idea of setting up such centres, a release issued by Law department of the government
said.
The mediation centres are run by by Delhi Dispute Resolution Society (DDRS) in collaboration with the law department of the Delhi government.
