Coast Guard to hand over 15 Lankan fishermen to police

The Coast Guard will hand over 15 Sri Lankan fishermen along with their boats and catch to police this evening, sources said.

"ICGS Sarang will hand over three Sri Lankan boats and over 2,000 kg of fish along with the crew to Kasimedu police station around 3 pm today," a Coast Guard officer said.

The Coast Guard had earlier arrested 10 Sri Lankan fishermen on April 17 for allegedly fishing in Indian waters off the Andhra Pradesh coast.
