Chouhan wants new industrial policy in place from Apr 2010

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the Commerce and Industries Department to implement State's new industrial policy under any circumstances from April 2010.
     
Reviewing the departmental activities at the Mantralaya here yesterday, the chief minister expressed his concern over the delay in online tracking of common application forms and pending applications.

Chouhan also directed for early issuance of the order of review committee to be constituted under the chairmanship of the divisional commissioner to execute memorandum of understanding pertaining to investment in industrial sector in the State.

He said that experienced and established consultants should be selected at the earliest so as to prepare the feasibility report of the proposed Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Bina, Jabalpur-Katni-Satna-Singrauli investment corridor.
     
The chief minister also gave his consent for necessary funds to implement the announcements made by him at the Panchayats held at his official residence.
     
Chouhan also reviewed cadre management, budget provision and the funds so far spent in the department.
    
Principal secretary, Industries, Satyaprakash said that in view of the convenience of investors, the department is working on preparing a common application forms and added that this arrangement would soon go online.
